Frost Science or PAMM? Choose Your Museum Park Day in Miami
Compare Frost Science and Pérez Art Museum Miami by interests, ticket planning and the kind of day you want from a Brickell base.

Frost Science and Pérez Art Museum Miami make Museum Park a useful destination from Brickell, but being neighbors does not mean you need to visit both. Choose the museum that interests your group most, reserve appropriately and let the waterfront and a meal fill the rest of the outing. Here is a practical way to decide.
The quickest way to choose
Pick Frost for an aquarium-and-science day, PAMM for an art-focused day, or ICA for a separate Design District outing. Compare current ticket details and opening calendars, then choose the transport route from your exact Brickell address.
If your group has different interests, consider separate museum visits and a shared meeting afterward. Set a meeting place and time in advance; do not depend on everyone finishing at the same moment.
Specific places to book or visit
Choose the stops that fit your day; this is a shortlist, not a checklist to complete. Links lead to the operators for current menus, tickets and reservations.
Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science ↗
1101 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami
An aquarium and science-focused outing at Museum Park. Review ticket inclusions and planetarium arrangements; allow this to be the main activity rather than the first of several museums.
Pérez Art Museum Miami ↗
Museum Park, Miami
Choose PAMM for modern and contemporary art. It pairs geographically with the waterfront, but visiting neighboring Frost too is optional, not a requirement. Check the museum calendar before booking.
Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami ↗
61 NE 41st Street, Design District
A focused contemporary-art stop with free admission. Reserve ahead because capacity can limit walk-ins. Groups larger than nine need to follow the museum’s group-booking instructions.
Choose Frost for a science-centered outing
Frost combines science exhibitions, an aquarium and a planetarium. Read the current ticket description carefully: the museum’s Explorer information includes one planetarium show subject to availability, with arrangements made on site. Decide whether the aquarium, exhibitions or show is your priority before arrival. This helps you organize the visit around what matters rather than treating every part as equally essential.
Choose PAMM for modern and contemporary art
PAMM is the stronger fit when the exhibitions are the reason for going. Look at the current program before choosing the date and check its visitor calendar. Build your own short route around the works or themes you want to discuss. If you are visiting with someone less interested in art, agree on a manageable visit rather than relying on them to enjoy several unplanned hours.
Use the right transport connection
The free Metromover links Brickell, Downtown and the Omni area; check current service and the station that suits your starting point. Frost identifies Museum Park station as a nearby option. Map the walk from your actual accommodation to the system as well as the final approach to the museum. The same system does not take you to Miami Beach, so avoid adding a beach transfer as though it were the next stop on the loop.
Make one museum enough
Our suggested plan is a late-morning museum visit, a meal and optional waterfront time. If you want both museums, look at actual opening hours and ticket conditions and keep the second visit shorter. There is no advantage in buying two tickets before checking whether the first museum will comfortably fill your available time. With children, a successful ending is often leaving while they still have energy for the journey home.
A different art option: ICA Miami
If a smaller contemporary-art outing in the Design District suits you better, investigate ICA Miami instead. Admission is free, but advance tickets are recommended and larger groups have separate procedures. This is a different neighborhood outing, not another Museum Park building. Choose it when you also want time in the Design District, and budget the transfer from Brickell separately.
