Information we use

We use the contact details you provide, including your name, email and optional phone number; your selected property, travel dates and guest count; reservation and payment references; and communications about your stay. Our hosting and payment providers also process technical information, such as IP addresses, browser information and security logs, to operate and protect their services.

Payments

Card details entered in the secure payment form go directly to Stripe. Our website receives a payment-method reference rather than your full card number or security code. Guesty uses that reference to manage payments for your reservation. See Stripe’s privacy policy.

Why we use information

We use your information to provide quotes, arrange reservations, process payments, communicate about arrival and changes, respond to questions, prevent fraud and meet applicable accounting or legal requirements. Where European data-protection law applies, these activities rely on taking steps to enter into or perform a contract, legal obligations, and legitimate interests in providing a secure service and resolving enquiries. Where consent is required for an optional use, we will ask separately; it can be withdrawn.

Service providers and sharing

Guesty supports listing availability, reservations and guest communications. Stripe processes payments. Vercel hosts the website, and Upstash supports secure session and booking-request storage. Information may also be shared with people responsible for providing your stay where necessary, or with authorities where legally required. We do not send your card number or security code to our booking database.

Cookies, wishlist and maps

Your wishlist is saved in your browser’s local storage. You can remove saved homes or clear your browser’s site data. Secure booking and hosting services may use cookies or similar technologies for functionality and fraud prevention. Embedded Google Maps connects your browser to Google, which receives technical information when the map loads; see Google’s privacy policy. Browser settings let you control cookies, although blocking them may affect functionality.

Retention and international processing

We retain booking and communication records as needed to provide your stay, handle disputes and meet applicable recordkeeping requirements. Retention depends on the record and the requirements that apply; contact us for details about your information. Our service providers may process information in countries outside your home country, including the United States. Contact us for information about the arrangements and safeguards applicable to your data.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, or object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent for uses that rely on it. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations or disputes. Contact us to make a request; we may need to verify your identity. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority, including the CNIL in France.
